Open Hearts, Open Minds,

Open Doors

Our hearts are full of love for our local communities and our world. Our service reflects that love.

We all think in different ways. But when we work together to serve others we share a common goal.

Our doors swing wide, not just to let others in but so that we can all get out to serve our community.

Join us in care and service!

We operate a food pantry to help those in need.  Appointments must be scheduled by calling the church office.  Walk-ins are not accepted.

Closed 3/13-3/27

We host a Meals on Wheels nutrition program, two AA meetings (one on Thursdays at 11:00 am  and one on Saturdays at 9:00 pm) an Al-Anon group also on Saturdays at 9:00 pm.

Dear Friends,

Bishop Tracy Smith Malone, of the East Ohio Conference, has cancelled public worship services through the next two weeks, effective today through March 27th.

Bishop Malone wrote:  “I have consulted several healthcare sources, including the Centers for Disease Control, the Ohio Department of Health and local healthcare systems all of which agree that to slow the spread of infection everyone must take precautionary measures and respond appropriately.  After prayerful discernment and in consultation with the executive staff of the Conference, I urge all East Ohio churches to cancel public worship through March 27th.”

The great commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself” has been on my heart all week.  Our instinct is to draw close to one another in crisis. In this case the best way to love our neighbor and each other is to not be too close physically.

Pray for one another, for our community and our world and be attentive to the needs of your neighbors as you are able.  Don’t lose heart.  This is for a temporary time and won’t last forever.  The virus will run its course and with God’s help we will get through this together. If there are any further changes we will make every effort to notify you.  We want to keep you fully informed.

And last, breathe . . . with each breath know that the Holy Spirit breathes in and through you, filling you with life.  Slowly exhale and allow your shoulders to relax.  Let the breath of the Spirit fill you with a spirit of peace and calm.

With great love,

Pastor Karen
